Due to the acceleration of digitalization in recent years, cybersecurity has become an increasingly urgent issue, involving public and private entities on a global level.

With the advancement of cybercrime, the global expectation of expenses generated by this type of crime is more than $23 trillion by 2027.

In 2022, the average cost of a data breach exceeded $4.35 million — the highest level ever recorded in the historical series, according to IBM. One-third of this amount is represented by detection and response activities, such as forensic services, auditing, and communications to executives and boards.

Globally, less than 20% of companies are prepared against threats, with retail, financial services, and healthcare being the sectors with the highest levels of cybersecurity maturity.
