With a dynamic and promising scenario for startup M&As in Brazil, the first half of the year saw 57 startup acquisitions. Of these, 51% were acquired by other startups, representing, for the first time in the last five years, the highest percentage of this type of acquisition.
Until 2020, the breakdown by type of startup buyer was approximately 50% by corporations and 30% by other startups.
Starting in 2021, startups began to gain increasing relevance in the acquisition market, reaching their highest share in 2024.
