Blockchain in the venture capital universe - investment in startups in the blockchain sector has seen significant evolution since mid-2019. The highlight is companies operating in the Web3 segment, which received more than half (around 57%) of the investments in the second quarter of 2022.

Despite the challenging scenario for venture investments, the future remains promising for startups in the sector. There are different companies that use blockchain to offer business or consumer solutions — from digital asset brokers, new payment methods to the metaverse.
