Education (52%) and Healthtech (43%) are among the sectors receiving the most AI investment in 2025.

Two markets that have historically been hard to scale, whether due to regulation, operational complexity, or slow innovation cycles are now emerging as some of the fastest accelerated by artificial intelligence.

The infographic titled “EDUCATION AND HEALTHTECH AS NEW FRONTIERS OF AI” features a horizontal bar chart showing the percentage of capital invested in AI startups by sector in the period from Q1 to Q2 2025. The chart divides the sectors into “Digital” and “Physical” categories. In the Digital category, the investment percentages by sector are: SAAS: 59% EDUCATION: 52% HEALTHTECH: 43% FINTECH: 17% CONSUMER: 16% GAMING: 13% In the Physical category, the percentages are: HARDWARE: 48% BIOTECH: 24% ENERGY: 11% MEDICAL DEVICES: 10% The source of the data is “Carta.”

AI is unlocking new models, efficiency, and scale in areas where innovation used to move slowly.

For founders and investors, this signals real opportunities to rebuild critical sectors of the economy with technologies that finally enable personalization, cost reduction, and data-driven decision-making.

The sectors most resistant to digital transformation are becoming the next drivers of technological change.
