AMERICAS M&A: A YEAR OF BOLD BETS

- 1 min read
The pace of M&A transactions in the Americas accelerated in 2025 in terms of value, but remained under pressure in terms of volume.
Total deal value showed strong growth throughout the year, reaching $3.1 trillion (+50%), with significant acceleration in the fourth quarter. At the same time, the number of deals declined to approximately 14.4 thousand (-2%), reinforcing a more selective environment.

This dynamic was driven by a higher concentration in large transactions, with mega-deals gaining relevance in total capital deployed. This pattern reflects increased appetite for scaled assets.
The overall picture points to a more concentrated market, with capital available but directed toward fewer assets, alongside higher expectations for execution and strategic clarity.
