Cautious Growth, but with Renewed Strength...
The first half of 2025 marked the strongest performance for global venture capital since the peak of H1 2022: over $205 billion was invested by June - a 32% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

While the pace remains selective, the volume was driven by a few large-scale movements:
$70 billion (over one-third of the total) was allocated to just 11 companies, each raising rounds above $1 billion;
The two largest venture capital deals in history took place this year:
OpenAI: $40 billion (Q1) | Scale AI: $14.3 billion (Q2)
The chart reflects this evolving dynamic: moderate yet consistent growth, with an increase in overall volume and a stronger weight toward late-stage investments.
