Since 2019, the Latin American ecosystem has matured, and startups have reached greater heights. However, the evolution of the number of deals per stage in the region presents some differences.

From 2019 to 2022, the stage that saw the most growth in the number of deals in Latin America was the early stage, with an increase of 89%. In Brazil, this increase was only 54%. The seed stage grew by more than 90% in Brazil vs 64% across the region. And the late stage had a total growth of 75% in Latin America vs 40% in Brazil.

In 2021, the number of transactions per stage had the same proportion in Brazil and Latin America - around 77% seed stage deals, 18% early stage and 5% late stage.
