Between 2006 and 2025, Brazil recorded more than 19,000 merger and acquisition transactions and more than half of them took place in sectors tied to technology and innovation.

According to KPMG:

• Technology accounted for 3,200 transactions;

• Internet for 3,098;

• Financial Institutions for 1,055.

These numbers highlight the structural transformation of the Brazilian market. Startups founded little more than a decade ago are now buyers, not acquisition targets.

The M&A cycle is no longer just an “exit”; it has become a strategic lever for growth and competitive positioning.

Over the past 20 years, the country has built a true tech M&A ecosystem: more sophisticated investors, more rational valuations, and a pipeline of companies ready to drive the next wave of innovation.

From hypergrowth to strategic efficiency, M&A has become a hallmark of the ecosystem’s maturity.

DealMaker supports founders in strategic M&A and fundraising decisions, with a focus on valuation, structuring, and competitive positioning.
