Brazil Holds Its Spot Among the World’s Top 30 Startup Ecosystems

For the second consecutive year, Brazil ranks 27th in StartupBlink’s annual Global Startup Ecosystem Index — maintaining its position among the top 30 ecosystems worldwide.

World map on a dark background with the title “Top 30 Startup Countries.” The chart shows the 30 countries best positioned in the global startup ecosystem, highlighting their geographic locations numbered according to their ranking. The top 10 countries are: United States United Kingdom Israel Singapore Canada Sweden Germany France Switzerland The Netherlands Other countries highlighted: Brazil appears in 27th place, being the only Latin American country listed. China (13th), Australia (12th), Estonia (11th), Finland (15th), and India (22nd) are also represented. The source of the information is StartupBlink.

While Brazil’s growth remains slightly below the average pace of other countries in the Top 30, there are consistent signs of progress:

  • An increase from 25 to 28 Brazilian cities ranked in the global Top 1,000

  • Over 60% of those cities improved their positions in the past year

  • A consolidated leadership in South America, with 5 of the region’s Top 10 cities

  • Ecosystem growth of over 21% during the period analyzed

Brazil stands out as the leading innovation hub in Latin America, with an increasingly diverse network of cities fostering technology, entrepreneurship, and the development of new businesses.

This position reflects a maturing ecosystem — one with the potential to accelerate further through effective public policy, expanded access to venture capital, and stronger connections between entrepreneurs, investors, and large corporations.
